Study on behavior of carbon fiber-reinforced composite for deep sea applications

In-situ test results on tensile, compression, flexure andrnILSS properties of carbon fiber-reinforced composite inrndeep-sea are presented for the first time. Resultsrnrevealed that apparent weight gain increases with depth.rnMechanical properties are not affected by deep-searnenvironment and deterioration or degradation or bio-filmrnformation was not observed.
