This paper describes the engineering, procurement,rnconstruction and installation (EPCI) issues encountered duringrnthe construction and assembly of the floating production,rnstorage and offloading (FPSO) system chosen for the Girassolrndevelopment, offshore Angola. This presentation is from therncontractor’s point of view and includes general remarks on thernmanagement of big projects.rnFinally the paper adresses contractual aspects of the clientcontractorrnrelationship, which have been carried out in arnunique manner at Girassol.
