Evaluating Microbial Control Treatments Using a Dual-Channel Biofouling Monitor

Strategies to evaluate and control microbial attachment in water systems were examined using a dual-channel biofoulingrnmonitor. Combined biofouling and respiration measurements provided a practical means to assess microbial activity and tornevaluate treatment protocols. Fouling induction time and persistence of inhibition (recovery time) were applied as criteria tornassess the performance of antifouling treatments in preventing and remediating biofouling.
