摘要

The radiosensitivity of bovine lens epithelial cells cultured in vitro was determined after X-irradiation. On a cellular level survival curves were obtained for immediate plating (IP) and delayed plating (LP) after a recovery period of 24 h and for plating of cells irradiated in the exponential stage of growth (EXP). On a molecular level X-ray induced DNA lesions have been determined. Induction of overall DNA strand breaks in lens epithelial cells and their rejoining was measured by fluorescent analysis of DNA unwinding (FADU), DNA double strand breaks were determined using the non-denaturing elution technique (NE). DNA damage induction is described in terms of dose effect curves, rejoining data are given in terms of rejoining enhancement curves and in terms of damage decay curves, which are best described by the sum of different exponential components.
