Prospects for Research on SiC and Related Materials

摘要

Silicon Carbide is a promising industrial material because of its attractive physical and chemical properties and, in fact, it is already commercialized in several specific fields. In order to develop further research on SiC, we must cooperate with each other in different fields. Otherwise, the whole of the research and development efforts made so far on SiC will not bear fruit. This paper summarizes previous research on SiC and out lines some of the problems that must be resolved in the future.
