Abstract Aim: To investigate the tumor retention of -elemene preparations. Methods: H22 mouse tumor model was established, concentration of -elemene was determined by RP-HPLC. Results: After intratumoral administration, the concentration of the -elemene preparation groups Call keep invariably in 1-8h. The average concentration of the SLN group is 63.3μg·g<-1,and that of the emulsion group is 28.1μg·g-1, the concentration of the -elemene in tumor and blood are 16μg·g-1 and 2.4μg·g-1 1h after intravenous injection. Conclusions: Compared、with the emulsion, SLN is more suitable for intratumoral administration,and concentrations of both formulations after intratumoral administration are significantly higher than that of intravenous injection.
