Since the start of this second millennium, a giant observation wheel rises high above the centre of London. A tubular truss rim drives 32 oval capsules up to a height of 135 meter over the river Thames, presenting a wide view over the Governmental and Royal centre of the United Kingdom. Prestressed cables keep this wheel in position, supported by an A-frame that cantilevers over the Queens Walk. The total structure represents one of the most spectacular developments of lightweight tubular structures.
