The route to low-cost wall-tv demonstrated

Printable Field Emitters has now demonstrated truly low cost printed QVGA field emission displays using its patented cold cathode technology. The 5.7" monochrome displays are frit sealed and driven using proprietary electronic leveling circuitry. By using a graphite silica composite for the cold cathode the cost and complexity of the display has remained low and the reliability and lifetime high. This is in contrast to the reported problems associated with carbon nanotube-containing displays.
