The Phase III RCC cofferdam of the Three Gorges Project (TGP), with a max height of 115m, is a Class I temporary structure. On the first stage (phase I), the right shoulder of cofferdam under EL. 50m (58m) was constructed. On the second stage, RCC volume placeed was about 1. 1 million m3, which was finished within 4 months, with a max monthly placement intensity of 476, 000m3. The paper is mainly focused on the structural layout design of RCC cofferdam, rapid RCC placement schemes and measures.
