摘要

The necessity of the investigating method of liquefaction efficiently has been rising eagerly in Japan because of the damage of liquefaction by Tohoku Region Pacific Coast Earthquake.In this background,Piezo Drive Cone (PDC) which can estimate the liquefaction resistance on site effectively and economically has been developed.The investigation using PDC has been carried out in Urayasu city,which were suffered very serious damage.The judgment of liquefaction based on the criteria of Architectural Institute of Japan has been done using PDC results.The result of the liquefaction judgment by PDC is almost same to the result of ordinary method which is used Standard Penetration Test (SPT) and grain size analysis.Therefore,the reliability of the liquefaction judgment of two methods mentioned above is considered almost same but the price of PDC is cheaper than using ordinary method.We expect that the PDC technology will available for all people under earthquake environment.
