The factors influencing the coal bed roof stability consist of five fields: the geological structure,sedimentary characteristics,rock assemblages,distance with the overlying thin seam,and mechanical property.Through a comprehensive analysis of geophysical data,we make geological analysis of the study area with three-dimensional seismic,reflects sedimentary characteristics with the range,the shape and the smooth degree of Well logging curve,and we divide the shanxi group into three cycles from the bottom.Roof rock assemblages are divided into hardness upward,softness upward or their compound.We use rock elastic strength value to divide rock mechanical properties.Considering the above factors,we analyze the 3 coal seam roof stability in north area of Hancheng mine,carried out composite overlay for the weights with AHP,and divided it into very stable region,stable region,medium stable region and unstable region.
