NATURAL GAS DEHYDRATION USING GAS/LIQUID MEMBRANE CONTACTORS

The application of gas/liquid membranes to gas processing problems holds some of the greatestrnpotential for enabling dramatic reductions in the size, complexity and cost of the equipmentrnrequired to prepare natural gas for the pipeline. These advances will be needed as the demand forrnnatural gas pushes producers to tap poorer quality, more remote resources, making smaller,rncheaper, more efficient gas treating equipment a prerequisite for monetizing what mightrnotherwise be stranded gas. Extensive testing has been performed for acid gas removal fromrnnatural gas. The latest work has been a gas dehydration field test at a Duke Energy FieldrnServices compressor station in Colorado.
