摘要

We report a comparative study of Carbon black-polymer composites and a Ni — SiO_2 cermet that has enabled us to resolve three fundamental issues regarding the electrical properties of disordered systems in general and of the above systems in particular. These are the a priori unexpected percolation behavior, the discrepancy between the theoretical predictions and the experimental values of the conductivity non-universal exponent and the mechanism of the well-known electro-thermal switching effect, in the above composites.
