摘要

It is found that the thermochemical activation of lignins, products of chemical wood processing, leads to the formation of carbon with a developed microporous structure. Active carbons with high adsorption properties and specific area over 2000 m~2/g were obtained. It has been shown that the decreasing oxygen content in the raw material by thermal pre-treatment is a decisive factor providing a lower consumption of activators, the improvement of sorption properties, and increasing the yield of carbon.
