USAID VIEWS ON ENVIRONMENTAL RISKS A Comparative view to Environmental Assessments

Risk assessment is indirectly part of environmental impact assessment process, and like the name suggests, focuses on analyzing risk to people and the environment. The environmental assessment requirements, although specific in nature, parallel the Risk Assessment process and both could be combined under one contract for more useful and cost-effective results that meet both the decision-makers requirements and those mandated by law.
