摘要

The object being diminishing self heating tendency by inhibitors, this can be explained by the theory of catalytic oxidation of micro-elements in the coal mass. The research was founded on the new theories and hypothesis on self oxidation of coal. The paper presents a laboratory studies to develop and test suitable inhibitors to inhibit the spontaneous heating characteristics of coal, few inorganic chemicals have been applied on coal of RII/III Seam of Raniganj Coalfield, ECL to study their effect on its spontaneous heating characteristic. On the basis of experiments it is clear that 25% aqueous solution of MgCl_2 was very effective in inhibiting the spontaneous heating characteristic of this sample.
