ANALYSIS OF MINE HOIST SYSTEMS WITH RESPECT TO THEIR SAFETY AND EFFICIENCY

With increasing Mining depths and Mine outputs, the present day tendency is to concentrate on intensive hoisting operations at one centrally located well equipped shaft. Considering the above points the authors with their three decades experience have dealt with the fallowings keeping in view the nine regulations. (ⅰ) Safety and efficiency aspects of Mine Hoist system. (ⅱ) Mechanical integrity evaluations of various Mine hoist equipments with special reference to vire ropes failures. The paper will be helpful for practising engineers to achieve greater safety, uninterrupted production and economy.
