Super Performance High Volume Flyash Concrete Roads Constructed by Ambuja Cement

摘要

This paper describes briefly the construction and performance of high-volume flyash (HVFA) concrete roads in India. Data is also provided on the materials and mixture proportions used in these projects. The test results of compressive and flexural strengths of concrete are also presented together with the chloride-ion penetrability test data on core drilled from the pavement. Based upon more than one-year performance of the pavements under traffic of more than 500 commercial vehicles per day, it may be concluded that HVFA concrete is suitable for the construction of rural, regional and national road network in India.
