The Selective Metallisation of Fabrics and Textiles using a Novel Electrochemical Approach

Electroless Plating of fibres within fabrics / textiles has shown the following benefits: 1. Process produces textiles/fabrics with high conductivity 2. High level of flexibility in the fabric following metallisation 2. Approaches to selective deposition demonstrated 4. Textiles can be dyed without loss of functionality 5. Stretchable fabrics retains conductivity even with stretching 6. Good wash-ability - 100 cycles with acceptable change in resistance 7. Glove demonstrator produced allowing technology validation.
