Utilization of cement treated soft dredgings with special working ship

摘要

Recently, how to effectively reduce and reuse soft dredgings has become an important matter in coastal engineering. Other than disposal of them into reclamation area, the dredgings after proper cement treatment usually shows good characteristics, useful for various port structures. Special working ships, pre-installed with cement treatment system, have been introduced into practice. This paper presents compressive strength characteristics of the cement treated soils, then reports two applications in practice, discusses underwater casting method of this material and finally proposes a ground improvement method by use of the introduced ships.
