Fuel oil modification and change over procedures

Joachim Milius currently holds the position of Deputy Head of Department of Machinery Systems and is the PTP-Lead. He is responsible for ship piping systems, fire extinguishing systems, ventilation systems and Rule development as well as for training.Within his scope of work he is in charge for exhaust gas cleaning systems such as SCR catalysts and scrubber systems as well as for fuel oil modifications / 'low sulphur fuel' enlargements.His previous experience includes sailing as second engineer on Container vessels and chief engineer on gas tankers after studying 'Ships Operation & System Engineering' in Hamburg.He joined GL in 1988, have been for the company in Malaysia (1995-1998) and Korea (20022003) and has established drawing approval centres in Korea and China (1998-2005).
