摘要

The simulation of homogenization of binary aluminum alloys is made by the phase-field model. The model is focused on the dissolution kinetics of interdendritic eutectic phase in aluminum phase. The eutectic phase is treated as a heterogeneous mixture of solid phases. The initial concentration profile is obtained by the Scheil-Gulliver solidification model. The effects of homogenization temperature, grain size and macroscopic concentration on the dissolution kinetics are estimated. The industrial Al-5 %wt Cu as-cast microstructure is used as a realistic initial condition for demonstration of the model capabilities in two-dimensions. The thermodynamic properties of materials involved are obtained by the JMatPro software for aluminum alloys.
