Improving the Frequency Accuracy and Stability of your Microwave Transverter

If your oscillator is on the same board as your transverter, it will drift as the system warms up. Stability is how slowly a system drifts. Stability may be improved by simply slowing down the temperature change of the crystal with a little foam insulation. Adding some thermal mass, such as a small aluminum block inside the foam with the crystal, will slow down drift even further.
