Cadastral mapping using GPS technologies and high-resolution satellite imagery increasingly renowned in many developing countries, substituting the traditional graphical surveying methods. However, cadastral residential boundaries in most sectors in Iraqi cities have not corrected due to many reasons such as: (1) not relying on global coordinates, (2) not using high-precision surveying equipment, (3) and also, the neglecting of setting- outhouses. These errors may lead to several problems conserving the constructing of the sectors or block, overflow houses on the streets that causes defects in the dimensions of the sidewalks, and also the overflowing of spaces on neighboring houses. For these reasons, the first objective of this study is to examine the accuracy of using of using High-Resolution Satellite Imagery (HRSI) for boundary detecting cadastral mapping of AL-Wasity quarter (Kirkuk city). The other objective is focused on finding the accuracy of the boundary using different techniques such as Total Station and HRSI. Thus, the obtained result shows that there was an average shifting in Easting and Northing coordinate system between the total station and cadastral map techniques ranging from 0.971 –to 1.708) respectively. On the other hand, the average shifting in Easting and Northing coordinate between total station and satellite image is ranging between 1.385 and -1.354 respectively. While the average shifting in Easting and Northing between satellite image and cadastral is -0.307 and 1.075 respectively.
