A stokes vector receiver based on 2 $mathrm{x}490^{mathrm{o}}$ hybrid is reported in silicon photonics integrated circuit. The novelty of the design is that there are no waveguide crossings and thermo optic phase shifters thereby reducing back reflections and cross talk in the photonic circuit. We also provide rigorous theoretical and simulation analysis of the receiver as well as the analytical expression derived for the final Stokes Vector output. This design is an attractive option for designing low cost and monolithcally integrated coherent receiver for silicon photonics integrated circuit.
