This paper presents a patch antenna array with isolation substrates based on substrate integrated suspended line (SISL) platform. For the four element array, simulated results show that by utilizing the isolation substrates, the mutual coupling between each array element is reduced over the operation frequency bands. Lower side lobe level and higher gain are also achieved. Instead of the conventional microstrip line, the proposed structure is fed by the SISL line thus efficiency of better than 94 % is obtained. At 25 GHz, the simulated gain of the four elements array is better than 15 dBi. The proposed two elements antenna array has simulated 10 dB impedance bandwidth of 14.1 % i.e., from 24.4 GHz to 28. 1 GHz which can be used in lower millimeter wave communication systems.
