Research on Enterprise Innovation Performance Based on Multiple Linear Regression Model

The innovation performance of high-tech enterprises is often related to their R&D activities, which are affected by R&D investment and government subsidies. Therefore, based on the panel data of China’s GEM high-tech enterprises from 2013 to 2017, this paper examines the effects of government subsidies and R&D investment on corporate innovation performance, and then investigates the moderating role of government subsidies on the innovation performance of R&D activities. By using regression analysis, I find that greater R&D investment leads to better innovation performance. On the contrary, government subsidies are negatively correlated with innovation performance, but not significantly. Besides, the results show that since government subsidies have a positive moderation effect, R&D investment plays a stronger role in promoting innovation performance in firms with greater government subsidies.
