Recent studies on long-span bridges: Vibration control, seismic retrofit and monitoring in Japan

摘要

The paper describes three important issues on the long-span bridges, namely, vibration problem and control, seismic retrofit and vibration-based structural health monitoring. Specific studies on these topics are discussed based on recent experiences and practices in Japan.
