This paper describes Silver Software's experience in carrying out the software development for the landing gear system for a major new airliner. We hope this paper will be of interest, for a number of reasons: 1. The landing gear is one of the most safety-critical systems on the aircraft 2. This aircraft uses Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) 3. Much of the work was carried out at our software development centre in Bangalore, India (in particular, development of the Level C software and verification of the Level A software).
