Seventeen single-phase paraffin deposition tests were conducted in a 50-m (164-ft) long, 43.6-mm (1.71-in.) inside diameter test facility for a medium-high viscosity Gulf of Mexico crude oil to study the dependence of the deposition process on oil inlet temperature, flow rate, temperature difference between the oil and the glycol, and deposition time. The test results were compared with previous tests in the same flow loop with different fluids.
