The low air permeability material compounds were developed in the area of tire inner liner rubber. Butyl rubber compounds, which contain special resin or plate crystal-structure filler could improve barrier properties. Using this rubber compounds, tire inner liner thickness decreased by 40%. As a result, tire weight reduced by 0.5kg per each.
