摘要

Underwater speech communication for middlelong distance has the characteristics of narrow bandwidth as well as low transmission rate, which makes the underwater speech communication much difficult. Nevertheless, speech communication based on storage and transmission makes it feasible. The paper introduced the principle of speech communication based on storage and transmission firstly and then analyzed the terminal buffer size as well as the communication delay when such technique was applied. The feasibility along with localization is pointed out in conclusion.
