Active power filter is a widely used harmonic suppression and reactive power compensation, it can on the smart grid in the harmonic and reactive to better dynamic compensation. This paper analyzes the parallel active power filter compensation principle, the use of DC voltage loop control that contains the i_p-i_q method for the detection of smart grid command current and fixed delay loop current tracking control method for shunt APF current tracking control using Matlab/Simulink simulation model build and control the angle from a different instance of simulation. The simulation results shows that different nonlinear load thyristor firing angle, fixed delay loop current tracking control can be effective in real-time tracking control, real-time simulation model system can detect the operation command contained in the current system, and effective compensation, to achieve the desired results.
