John Gardner is a Professor Emeritus of Physics at Oregon State University, whose professional career has spanned over 46 years. Dr. Gardner has had a very successful academic career in the field of physics. As a recognized expert on the physics of defects in materials, he has received research funding from the National Science Foundation, the Department of Energy, the Office of Naval Research, the Department of Defense, NASA, and several other sources.
