During 2015, it became apparent oil prices were going to remain ‘lower for longer’ and budgets would be adjusted accordingly. As such technology development would be reduced and slowed down. As a result Western Australian oil and gas operators Woodside, Shell and Chevron are considering if and how increased collaboration in technology and innovation can support each individual company and the industry as a whole, by joining efforts and therefore leveraging investments and sharing lessons learned and best practices.
