The coordination of urban transportation and land use is not only the foundation for solving the urban transportation problem and actualizing the intensive utilization of urban land, but also the key factor for the sustainable development of the cities. TOD is considered as a rational strategy for urban land use and transportation development，which is the best annotation about how to integrate the land use with urban transportation. In this article, the connotation of TOD is presented in detail. By the experience and inspiration of Curitiba in Brazil, this article proposes a land use pattern based on TOD, which is suitable to China.
