Strategies for the Development of Energy Efficient Building in China

摘要

China's buildings sector currently accounts for 30% of China's total energy use Building energy consumption becomes the core issue in China's energy strategies due to the rapid growing energy demand in buildings. There are three stages in energy efficiency innovation in buildings. This paper introduces in detail the energy efficiency in buildings in China including energy demand and energy efficiency renovation in buildings, policies and standards, achievements, barriers and experiences. The building energy efficiency standards have been reviewed in details. The measures to enhance the implementation of energy efficiency in buildings have been proposed.
