@@Poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) fiber is a synthetic fiber with the biggest output and the wide uses[12]. However, the combustibility and serious melt dripping during combustion greatly limit its applications. Serious melt dripping in the fire is very dangerous for people due to the secondary damage. The flame retardation of traditional phosphorus-containing PET is mostly achieved through melt dripping by energy removal from the flame zone of the specific specimens [3]. Therefore, the flame retardation of PET conflicts with its antidripping or nondripping behaviors. How to address the issue has become a challenging assignment in the flame retardation of polymers. In the paper, we designed a novel flame retardant antidripping polyester without halogen and phosphorus, and it can quickly generate carbon layer during combustion by self-crosslinking, which made it had better anti-dripping character.
