The authors have proposed a hydrogen generation system fueled by sodium tetrahydroborate. In order to control the amount of supplying hydrogen generated by the system to a fuel cell (FC) stack, the hydrogen pressure to the FC stack is regulated within warranty pressure of the stack by controlling the amount of dissolved NaBH4 to the hydrogen reactor in the system. However, it is difficult to control the hydrogen pressure to the stack when the output power of the FC changes rapidly. In this paper, a new hydrogen pressure control scheme based on experimentally-derived simulation model is proposed in order to regulate the hydrogen pressure to a fuel cell stack stably. In addition, it is shown that the proposed scheme can stabilize the amplitude of the hydrogen pressure even when the output power of fuel cell stack is changed.
