Inco Special Products is committed to providing high quality, value-added nickel-based products to the energy materials segment by the support of existing products and research and development of new products. Our parent, Inco Limited is active in the development of new production of nickel, cobalt and PGMs. Volatility in the price of nickel for the last few years has been caused by an historic lack of investment in new production, which is now being addressed. As new nickel production is brought on, cobalt will be produced in larger quantities as a co-product. This means that the world cobalt supply will also be increased as these developments take place.
