Solena Group ("Solena") is a global power production company created to design, build, and operate clean energy plants. Employing a state of the art and patented plasma-based technology known as Plasma Gasification and Vitrification ("PGV") within the framework of the unique IPGCC process, Solena's power plants are able to convert virtually any type of organic and carbonaceous materials, including coal, coal wastes, petroleum coke, bio-mass, and different waste forms into a clean, low heating value synthesis gas (plasma syn-gas) containing mainly carbon monoxide and hydrogen gases. This gas is then employed as a primary fuel for a combined cycle gas turbine, i.e. GE Heavy-Duty Industrial Gas Turbines, and/or fuel cell system for the production of electricity. The result is the production of environmentally benign clean electrical energy.
