Modern small distributed generation is becoming increasingly popular. It is based on the use of various types of cogeneration plants, as well as the use of renewable energy sources. Small cogeneration plants designed to supply electric and thermal energy to individual consumers have a great potential, but due to the lack of an algorithm for choosing the most optimal solution for certain conditions, they are implemented as single sources. In Russia, this trend began to manifest itself relatively recently, due to the wide availability of various energy resources. Fuel costs for heat supply in our country are very high and amount to more than 50%. A significant part of the existing district heating systems use combined heat and power plants (CHP) as heat sources. In the rest of the system heat sources, usually serve boiler rooms. At the same time, the energy of organic fuel in district heating systems with boilers is used less efficiently than in systems where the role of the heat source is performed by thermal power plants.
