Assembling is an important link between manufacturing and final products, so a high-quality and stable assembling process is an important guarantee for producing reliable products. The assembling system serves as the carrier for the assembling process, and its health status is closely related to the assembling quality. That is, the assembling quality is an important manifestation of the assembling system health. Recently, the ISO 9001:2015 standard emphasizes the use of risk thinking to view quality issues and makes quality risk analysis become a general trend. Therefore, a risk-oriented approach which analyzing the product assembling system health from the perspective of assembling quality is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the concept of assembling quality risk is put forward, and the formation mechanism of assembling quality risk is given. Second, assembling RQR chain is put forward, and a risk management framework based on assembling RQR chain is proposed. Third, the quantitative relationship between assembling variation and product assembling quality risk is established, and the product system health analysis is recognized. Finally, the assembling quality risk analysis example of automobile front cover inner circuit protection cover is presented to verify the proposed method.
