Design of Simplified Decoupling Control System of Pulsed MIG Welding Process for Aluminum Alloy

摘要

In this paper, the simplified decoupling control system is proposed for pulsed MIG welding process used for aluminum alloy. Accordingly, the simplified decoupling matrix networks and PID controllers are analytically designed based on the identification model of pulsed MIG welding process that is a typical two input, two output (TITO) system, since control input signals are defined as pulse current duty cycle and wire feed speed, as well as the wire extension and pool width are determined as control outputs. The simulation results are indicated that the proposed decoupling control system of aluminum pulsed MIG welding process has achieved the fast and balanced control output responses that meet the actual requirements.
