Fuzzy Modeling of Efficiency of Energy and Fuel Resource Use at Regional Level

The paper discusses possibility of applying the fuzzy modeling of efficiency of fuel and energy resource use at the regional level. The main problems that inevitably arise at study of regional power supply systems with standard mathematical methods designed for processing quantitative data are indicated. The causes of the problems including uncertain initial data are mentioned. Fuzzy models are proved to provide more reliable and valid results at estimate of regional fuel and power supply systems. When developing a fuzzy model for efficiency estimation of the regional power sector, diverse and uncertain data are used. The proposed model may be effectively used at assessment of regional fuel and energy system efficiency. This fact is proved with an example of the Kursk region.
