The personal computer-aided mathematical models are used to study the transient starting process of the asynchronous motor (AM) which allowed obtaining significant results in practice and, above all, the time function The form of these functions was somewhat surprising - the oscillatory character at the initial stage of acceleration with network frequency and great amplitude. The sharp decrease in the amplitude of these oscillations as well as reducing the time of the transition process was observed in the study of series reactive power compensation. The phenomenon was explained by the impact of the capacitors in each phase of the stator winding of high resistance for the second component of the rotor current in a low-frequency sub-harmonics, which cause the variable component of the electromagnetic torque. It is suggested to use this beneficial effect series compensating device and to minimize its impact on the value of the steady voltage AM in series with each capacitor to include inductor equal to him reactance.
