Document recognition strategies for bank cheques

摘要

This paper presents document recognition strategies for two important applications: 1) comprehensive check image reader and 2) recognition of text document containing multiple lines of text data. This paper describes the challenges in finding and recognizing the fields of interest on the broad document types. The remaining of the paper will focus on handwritten legal line recognition which remains the most challenging field.
