In this paper, a novel design of 2 × 2 circular polarization (CP) slot antenna array fed by ridge gap waveguide (RGW) technology for Ka-band automotive application is presented. The CP character is achieved by cooperation of the annular slot realized on the upper plate and 2 × 2 power divider locates in the lower plate. Electromagnetic simulation software (HFSS) shows that the simulated 3-dB axial ratio (AR) bandwidth of this antenna is from 33.5GHz to 37.5GHz (11.3%). And the impedance bandwidth of this antenna is from 32GHz to 40GHz for |S11|<-15dB (22%). The Realized Gain is between 12dBic and 13.6dBic over the operating CP bandwidth.
