In this paper, a new design of miniaturized frequency selective surface (FSS) with ultra-wide bandpass response is proposed. Unlike the previous bandpass UWB FSSs, we focus on the realization of low frequency band, such as S, L or even lower band. The FSS consists of three layers of metallization separated from one another by thin dielectric substrates. It has a small size of λ_0/29 and a thickness of λ_0/40 for the lower passband. Simulation results show a stable transmission response for different polarizations and incident angles.
