Optimal Reset Control for a Hard Disk Drive Dual-stage Actuator System

This paper presents an optimal reset control (ORC) method for a dual-stage actuator servo system (DSA) in hard disk drives (HDDs). Track seeking performance is investigated and simulation results show that the propose method is able to achieve short settling time and low overshoot.
